Powered by Yelowsoft
📌 Overview
Driver Document Management is a critical feature in Yelowsoft’s platform designed to ensure driver and vehicle identity verification for enhanced security, trust, and compliance. This feature enables admins to collect, validate, and manage driver documents efficiently.
1️⃣ Purpose of Document Management
This feature is crucial to:
- Prevent fraudulent activities.
- Ensure only verified drivers operate on the platform.
- Maintain compliance with legal and operational regulations.
- Build customer trust by ensuring drivers are properly vetted.
2️⃣ How Document Upload Works
A. Driver-Side Upload (Via Driver App)
- While registering, the driver can upload all required documents.
- Each document must include:
- Document Image
- Expiry Date
B. Admin-Side Upload (Via Admin Panel)
- Admins can also upload or manage documents when manually creating or editing a driver.
- Navigate to: Drivers > Manage Drivers > Edit > Documents
- Admins can upload files, enter expiry dates, and select document types.
3️⃣ Types of Required Documents
The admin can configure the system to collect any of the following (or custom) documents:
- Driving License
- Vehicle Registration
- Vehicle Insurance
- Pollution Under Control (PUC) Certificate
- Driver’s Medical Certificate
- Car Policy Document
- Any other government-mandated ID
📌 Each document type can have its own expiry date, which the system tracks.
4️⃣ Document Expiry & Renewal Alerts
Yelowsoft’s system automatically:
- Monitors document expiry dates.
- Sends push notifications and in-app alerts to the driver when a document is near expiration.
- Requires drivers to re-upload the updated document before expiry to maintain account access.
⚠️ If a document expires and is not updated, the system can automatically restrict the driver’s app access until re-verification is completed.
5️⃣ Admin Verification & Restrictions
- After documents are uploaded, admins can review and approve/reject them via the Admin Panel.
- Drivers remain in a pending/blocked state until documents are verified.
- If approved → driver gains full app access.
- If rejected → driver is notified and prompted to upload valid versions.
6️⃣ Security & Accountability
- The system logs all document submissions, expiry alerts, and admin actions.
- Admins always have proof of verification when issues or disputes arise.
- If suspicious activity occurs, the admin can review why a driver was approved, based on valid documents on file.
✅ Key Benefits
- Ensures only verified drivers are allowed on the platform.
- Enables document-based access control.
- Improves operational compliance.
- Strengthens rider safety and trust.
- Reduces admin workload with automatic expiry tracking and alerts.
📍 Conclusion
Yelowsoft’s Driver Document Management is a must-have security feature that helps taxi and dispatch companies verify drivers before giving them access to the platform. It maintains operational integrity, boosts safety, and provides admins with a clear audit trail for all document approvals and rejections.
